    VXR hit by points deduction

VX Racing has had its Teams’ championship lead cut by ten points after it was forced to change the engine in Matt Neal’s Vauxhall Vectra following this morning’s practice session at Brands Hatch.
Neal had set what would stand as the morning’s fastest time but his car then suffered a blown engine. By replacing it for session two, VXR has gone over its engine allocation and therefore suffers a ten-point deduction in its lead in both the Manufacturer/Constructor and Teams standings.
While in the former it cannot be caught (its lead is so great), it can still be beaten to the Teams’ title by Team RAC. Its lead over its big rival is now down to 48 points with a possible 81 still to be won in tomorrow’s three races.
Furthermore, Neal was forced to stop in session two when his replacement engine also developed problems.
VXR’s problems didn’t stop there: lead driver Fabrizio Giovanardi span out of session two after just three laps, denying himself valuable track time

                  He did bloomin well.......Hat's off.

My better Half Lynne was quietly rooting for Turkington as Her Parents know him and his family.
